Our Gingerbread House

Well, we managed to top ourselves again this year, even though we didn't think we'd be able to.
Check it out!
Ellie and Paul work on her tower.

And they have a little fun with icing too!

Wiring it up! (Note the clear sugar windows)

Ellie decorates her tower.

The big house, finished! Penguins are coming to visit.

Marzipan Santa arrived on the roof with his chocolate reindeer. They landed by the clear sugar dome (we are quite proud of our sugarwork/play).

The front, viewed from the porch.

The side, with a nice walkway to the pulled sugar fountain.

The fountain.

The backyard and chimney.

The "Winter Wonderland" side of the house. I made the candy cane that the elf is holding.

Santa! (And Rudolph!)

The front of the house.

Oh, and it lights up... but due to humidity, the once clear sugar windows fogged up with crystals, so it's hard to see the lights well.

And this is what Katie did while we worked on the house... maybe next year she can make her own!
